Yon Ch'uan Black Belts

Tampa, Florida

The goal of many children, teens and adults in martial arts is the coveted Black Belt. It is estimated that less than 1% of people who start martial arts reach their goal of Black Belt. It takes a lot of patience and hard work to earn a Black Belt in Yon Ch'uan. It takes most students between 4 - 6 years, but it's worth it when you pass the test and receive your Yon Ch'uan Certificate and 1st Degree Black Belt.

The Senior Instructor of Yon Ch'uan Martial Arts in Tampa is Mark McGee, a 6th Degree Black Belt. He is also a Senior Instructor in Hwa Yu T'ai Chi Ch'uan and Qigong. Mr. McGee is a senior student of Grand Master Robert Xavier, a 9th Degree Black Belt in Yon Ch'uan Martial Arts and the World Lineage Holder. Grand Master Xavier received the Lineage and an 8th Degree Black Belt in Yon Ch'uan along with a Master's Teaching Certificate in Hwa Yu T'ai Chi Ch'uan from Grand Master John Chung Li in 1980.

We are pleased to present pictures of Grand Master John Chung Li from 1975, Grand Master Robert Xavier with Grand Master John Chung Li together in 1976, Grand Master Xavier from 1999, Grand Master Xavier and Mark McGee in 2005, and Mr. McGee and his Tampa Black Belt students in 2007.
